Sisters

This is the first sculpture I have listed in 2010. I did this one for Barvo back in April or May. I was doing some sculptures for him at his studio in Dallas up until July. This is the only one that I took photos of. All I had was a black and white photo of the girls when they were around 5 and 3 years old. I also did busts of the two girls who are now 15 and thirteen I believe. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures taken of the busts before they were delivered to the client.

I had hoped that Barvo would be getting commissions for more sculptures at this time of the year, but evidently the economy has taken it's toll on the sculpture business. I do happen to have a couple of commissions for portrait paintings to do for Christmas which will help out our finances a little. I am looking into some ways to promote the portrait painting end of my business. It may be a while before sculptures will sell again, so I need to increase the sales of paintings. We will see what tommorrow brings!
